MICRONEEDLING

Collagen Induction Therapy

Fine Lines and Wrinkles

WHAT IS MICRO-NEEDLING?

A method of treatment of fine lines, acne scars, stretch marks by introducing a controlled wound to trigger the release of natural growth factors and producing new collagen and elastin.

WHO CAN BE TREATED WITH MICRONEEDLING?

All skin types can be treated for numerous conditions across various parts of the body including:

  • Face

  • Legs

  • Hands

  • Arms

  • Décolletage (Upper Chest)

  • Back

  • Neck

  • Abdomen

WHAT IS TREATMENT LIKE?

A numbing cream is applied to the area of treatment and a sterile needle-tip is attached to the microneedling device. Next, the device is glided across the skin in one direction until the entire teratment area has been covered.   Thousands of microscopic channels are introducted into the skin stimulating the body's own growth factors leading to new collagen and elastin production.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO SEE RESULTS?

Patients can see results after the first treatment, and true changes can be seen after 1-2 weeks.

HOW MANY MICRONEEDLING TREATMENTS ARE NEEDED?

Typically a series of 3-6 microneedling treatments are recommeneded depending on the area of concerned. Treatments are usually spaced apart every 4 weeks.   Deep wrinkles, advanced sun damage, scarring or stretch marks may require additional treatments.

IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME AFTER TREATMENT?

Immediately after the treatment, the skin will appear red.  This redness diminishes over 24-48 hours.   A detailed after-care regimen will be provided to each patient.
